LRR Motors, the official importer of JY Air EV in Nepal, has appointed Senior Captain and media personality Bijaya Lama as the brand ambassador. The announcement was made in Kathmandu on the fourth day of the NADA Auto Show 2025. The JY Air electric sedan had already been launched on the first day of the show.

JuneYao Auto is the electric vehicle arm of JuneYao Airlines, and the JY Air carries forward the airline’s heritage with aviation-inspired design elements. These include sweeping rooflines that evoke night-flight skylines and lighting details reminiscent of aircraft features.

The JY Air Ultra is priced at Rs 63.99 lakh, down from its original Rs 68 lakh. It is powered by a 64 kWh battery paired with a 99 kW motor that produces 250 Nm of torque, offering a WLTC range of 440 km.  It also comes equipped with features such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), a 360-degree camera, ADAS functions, seven airbags, a panoramic sunroof, and more. The JY Air Lite, priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (down from Rs 54 lakh), is fitted with a 51 kWh battery and the same motor setup, delivering a WLTC range of 355 km.

Sharing his thoughts, Senior Captain Bijaya Lama added: “My life has always been about the skies, but today I am equally thrilled to bring the spirit of flight to the roads. JY Air EV is more than a car—it is aviation brought to wheels, carrying the same values of safety, discipline, and technology. I look forward to encouraging Nepalis to adopt clean and smart mobility, and I am proud to be part of this journey with LRR Motors.”
